Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Basalt Works collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Animal Gacha mobile application.

This policy applies worldwide. The rights and obligations that apply may differ depending on where you live.

02 // Privacy Policy

Data Controller Information

Basalt Works is responsible for information it receives and controls as described here. AdMob, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, Formspree, and Vercel may also process information under their own roles and privacy terms. You can contact us at contact@basaltworks.com.

03 // Privacy Policy

Information Stored Locally

Animal Gacha has no mobile-app account or cloud-sync feature. Core game state is stored locally on your device, including collection and card progress, packs and balances, rewards, quests, achievements, profile, combat deck, and battle progress. Preferences, one-time markers, purchase or reward markers, and caches are stored in separate local keys.

The active mobile app does not upload this local game state to a Basalt Works backend. Your operating system may include local app data in a device backup and restore it later.

04 // Privacy Policy

Optional Purchases

Animal Gacha uses RevenueCat for optional in-app purchases. RevenueCat is configured when the Store area mounts and uses an anonymous app-user identity to retrieve products and entitlement status and to process or restore purchases with Apple App Store or Google Play.

RevenueCat and the relevant store may process product, transaction, receipt or purchase-token, purchase-history, restore, and entitlement information. Basalt Works does not receive or store your payment card details.

05 // Privacy Policy

Optional Rewarded Ads and Privacy Choices

Animal Gacha uses Google AdMob only for optional rewarded ads. Every ad request in the current App is explicitly marked as non-personalized. The App does not show banner or interstitial ads.

Google UMP consent and privacy checks gate ad requests, and you can reopen UMP privacy choices in the App. On iOS, the App first shows its ATT explanation and shows the system App Tracking Transparency prompt only after you continue. The App does not request precise-location permission.

AdMob may still process data needed to request and measure ads, such as IP address and derived approximate location, permitted advertising or app-scoped identifiers, Privacy Sandbox signals, ad interactions, and diagnostics, subject to your choices, platform settings, and Google policies.

06 // Privacy Policy

Reminders, Analytics, and App Delivery

On Android, you may optionally enable local free-pack reminders. They are off by default, are scheduled on the device, and do not register or use an Expo remote push token.

The active App has no separate general analytics SDK or crash-reporting SDK and does not use Expo over-the-air updates. It does not request precise-location permission.

07 // Privacy Policy

Product and Support Website

When you select English or Spanish, the website stores that choice in your browser localStorage under basalt-lang. If no choice is stored, it reads your browser language and uses Spanish when it begins with es; otherwise it uses English. The preference remains until you change it or clear the site’s local storage.

The support form sends your email, issue type and message, any optional device model, operating-system version and app version you enter, and the app name and source page. Formspree processes these fields so Basalt Works can receive and answer the request.

The product and support pages are hosted on Vercel. Its infrastructure may process request metadata needed to serve and protect the pages, such as IP address, request date and time, requested URL, request headers, and browser or device information.

08 // Privacy Policy

How We Use Information

We use information as needed to provide requested App features, manage optional purchases, request and reward optional ads, remember privacy choices, operate local reminders, troubleshoot reported issues, and respond to support requests.

  • To save and restore local gameplay progress.
  • To request a non-personalized rewarded ad after your action and grant the in-game reward after completion.
  • To retrieve products and entitlements and process or restore optional purchases through RevenueCat and Apple or Google.
  • To schedule an Android reminder locally if you choose to enable it.
  • To respond to support requests submitted by email or through the support form.
09 // Privacy Policy

Data Retention and Deletion

Core state and other local keys remain on your device until an applicable in-App control replaces them, you clear app data, or you uninstall the App, subject to operating-system backup and restore behavior. Reset Progress replaces only the core game state. It does not clear every separate preference, marker, cache, advertising-consent choice, purchase marker, or record held by RevenueCat, Apple, or Google.

The App does not configure a fixed retention period for information processed by AdMob, RevenueCat, Apple, or Google; those providers retain information under their own policies and legal obligations. If you contact support, we keep the message only as long as reasonably needed to respond and maintain support records.

10 // Privacy Policy

Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

Basalt Works does not sell personal information for money. Every AdMob request in the current App is explicitly non-personalized; the App does not request personalized or interest-based ads.

Advertising-related disclosures may nevertheless be treated as “sharing,” targeted advertising, or a sale under some privacy laws depending on the data and jurisdiction. Use the UMP privacy options in the App, applicable iOS or Android controls, or contact us about a legally available opt-out request.

11 // Privacy Policy

International Data Transfers

AdMob, RevenueCat, Apple, Google, Formspree, and Vercel may process information in countries other than where you live, whose privacy laws may differ.

Where transfer safeguards are required, processing is subject to the mechanisms and contractual terms made available by the relevant provider and applicable law. Contact us for more information about a transfer involving data Basalt Works controls.

12 // Privacy Policy

Your Rights

Depending on your location and subject to legal conditions and exceptions, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, withdraw consent for future processing, or request a copy of eligible personal data. Contact contact@basaltworks.com about data Basalt Works controls.

Most game data is local and can be managed with App or device controls. For information controlled by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or your backup provider, you may also need to use that provider’s privacy controls. We may need to verify a request where required or permitted by law.

13 // Privacy Policy

Children and Families

Animal Gacha is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where required.

14 // Privacy Policy

Data Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the information we handle. No device, transmission, or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

15 // Privacy Policy

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post updates on this page with a revised last updated date and provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
